Private thoughts are never shown to anyone else. If you have an account, they're stored in your account so you can see them on any device, protected so that only you can access them through IdeaVault. As the people running the site, we have technical access to the database for maintenance and safety, but we don't read private thoughts. Without an account, they stay in your browser and are never sent to us.
Your account stores your display name, email and a securely hashed password. Your email is never shown publicly and is only used for sign-in and account recovery.
Published thoughts are public, along with your display name, the time you posted, and sparks. You can delete your own posts at any time.
We don't sell your data or show ads. To delete your account or ask what we hold about you, email .
Up for adoption means you're inviting anyone to build your idea, for free, and to link what they make back to your post.
Be decent. No hate, harassment, spam or anything illegal. Posts reported by several people are hidden automatically, and we may remove posts or accounts that break these rules.
No legal protection. Saving or posting a thought here doesn't give you ownership of the idea or patent rights. IdeaVault is an early preview and may change.
